Pro Life Democrats Make Endorsements for State and Federal Seats

North Carolina Pro-Life Democrats are pleased to announce their endorsements for North Carolina state and federal positions. This is the first year that North Carolina Pro-Life Democrats have made endorsements since being formed in 2003.
Questionnaires were sent to 134 State House and Senate Democratic Party candidates as well as congressional candidates. (Attached) Based on the responses received, the following endorsements are made:
Representative Mike McIntyre (7th District)
Heath Shuler (11th District Congressional Seat)
Everette Passaly (NC State House 103)
Board Member Kathy Hough of Charlotte chaired the effort and was pleased with the results. She said, "I felt as though this questionnaire did as much to educate candidates on pro-life issues as it did to identify for us who the pro life Democrats are. We look forward to working with our endorsed candidates. We also look forward to working with those whose responses indicated that they would be willing to discuss ways to help reduce abortion."

Please call the speaker of the NC House, Joe Hackney, at (919) 733-3451 and the President Pro-Tempore of the NC Senate, Marc Basnight at (919) 733 6854 to ask them to allow the citizens of our state the opportunity to purchase a "Choose Life" license plate. The money raised by the sale of the plate would help fund crisis pregnancy centers.
