Our mission
As Democrats who care about our party, we choose to work within the party to foster respect for all human life, from beginning of life to natural death. This includes, but is not limited to, opposition to abortion, capital punishment, and euthanasia.
We will mobilize North Carolina Democrats to:
- Elect pro-life Democrats to office
- Support pro-life Democrats while in an elected position
- Promote elimination of the North Carolina Democratic Party platform plank supporting unrestricted abortion
- Achieve legislation that protects unborn human life
- Achieve legislation that facilitates a woman's choice of alternatives to abortion, such as adoption or parenting her child with realistic support
- Achieve a moratorium on executions to allow a comprehensive analysis of capital punishment to restore confidence in our justice system
- Participate actively in Democratic Party functions and offices
The Democratic Party is the party of tolerance and free speech. We are confident that our pro-life voice within the party will be respected to allow for open and friendly dialogue. It is our hope that many pro-life former Democrats will join with us to make our party stronger.

Please call the speaker of the NC House, Joe Hackney, at (919) 733-3451 and the President Pro-Tempore of the NC Senate, Marc Basnight at (919) 733 6854 to ask them to allow the citizens of our state the opportunity to purchase a "Choose Life" license plate. The money raised by the sale of the plate would help fund crisis pregnancy centers.
